David Bailey is an elite edge rusher with an uncommon blend of first-step quickness, hand technique, and power. He posted double-digit sacks in consecutive seasons at Texas Tech and projects as an immediate starter with genuine Pro Bowl potential. His long arms and strong hands give him a high floor as a base-4-3 defensive end or 3-4 outside linebacker at the next level.

Bailey can be hand-dependent at times, and opponents who win the early punch and get inside his frame are able to neutralize his rush. Some film study reveals a tendency to rely on his primary speed move without effectively setting up counters, though this has improved each season.
